Anger. Been there this year. I definitely agree that vengence is at the heart of anger, at least it was for me. I stuffed my anger far down when the event first happened and boy did I act Christian-like. I said all the God phrases I could “God will repay.” “God is my defender” “I am giving this to the Lord.” etc, etc. but eventually that anger came out. I did not yell but as I began to talk to others the anger I was feeling came out in negative speech. Oh, I am the first to admit I could have handled things better than I did. Thankfully God is helping me through it.
