A meditation from the Daily Advent Devotional for Women--Day 22...When we crawl in bed at night, what’s the mathematical equation to find the area between us and our husband? Him hanging off the right side plus us hanging off the left equals a span of separation not only physical, but emotional, and spiritual as well. What would happen if we just reached out yonder, across crumpled sheets and through flannel pajamas and touched his arm as we fell asleep? Would that be the first step to help fill that void?

I did it, I wrote consistently 30 of 31 Days. I enjoyed reading and reflecting on the book of Sirach this month, but I think some of my favorite posts from the month have been the last couple where I considered a good wife. One of my purposes in writing is to encourage women to take every thought captive to Christ and stop being a slave to negative thoughts. Daily affirmations can play a huge part in overcoming negative thinking. So let's pull together some daily affirmations for wives.

Remember, these affirmations are not to change our husband. He will most likely be the same guy in one week as today. These daily affirmations are to change us. They are to change our heart, our thoughts and our words about our husband. We are fighting fire with fire here. If we have been negative or sloppy in our thoughts and words about our husband, the purpose of saying these affirmations are to make us positive and intentional in our thoughts and words

Welcome to my 31 Days Writing Challenge! Day 30! I cannot believe how quickly this month and writing challenge has gone. I won't lie, it has been hard at times and I've stayed up way to late, but I've also met some wonderful, faith filled bloggers. Let's continue considering a good wife from the book of Sirach. We've talked about an intelligent wife, a modest wife, a good wife in a well ordered home and a good wife honors her husband. Today, "A Good Wife Makes Her Husband Happy."

You know where I'm headed with this paragraph right? Yes, straight to my trusty Thesaurus. Here are some interesting synonyms I found for happy: peaceful, pleasant, blessed, looking good. Can I just say, a happy man is a good looking man. A lot of times I will notice a man's good looks because he has a nice smile or lively eyes.
