I mentioned in my previous Book Club Time post about children’s books for 2016, this all began as a simple question to my Veronica, “Can you give me a couple of book recommendations for a friend on Facebook?” As her list continued to grow, we decided an entire post was a better fit. Until the list continued to grow and then we decided it might require a couple of posts! This list contains books pulled straight from her Kindle library…we haven’t even started listing real paper books on our shelves! I mention her Kindle library because it’s a couple of days before Christmas as I write this post. If you are still looking for a gift or two or if you purchased a Kindle for the reader in your home, you can very easily order these from Amazon to fill your Kindle library. Now, on to the list!

I mentioned in the last post, all my children love to read. And as I have mentioned on Instagam recently, I have taught my children to read, but not following the “typical” schedule. No matter how hard I tried, what method I used or how long I persisted…so far five (getting ready to be six) children have not taken off in their reading until around third grade. Once third grade hits and their reading takes off…there is no stopping them! Here’s the link to last week’s list; enjoy this week’s list of books my children recommend for your children.
As this list continues to grow, please realize it has taken us years to gather all these books. I do find purchasing them for Kindle to be fairly economical at times. That being said, although Veronica LOVES her Kindle and never leaves home without it…I can’t get into one. I like the feel of books too much. I like the sounds the pages make, I even like the smell of the pages. I keep trying to talk myself into a Kindle because the Lord knows it would save me space in the car when I go somewhere. I always take a book or four just in case I have to wait somewhere and the number of books I take? Well, I’m never quite sure what I’ll be in the mood to read so I allow myself some choices!
Watch for more posts with more recommendations of some of Veronica’s favorite books.
